The standard engine for the 2024 Ford Maverick is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder. This peppy little engine produces 250 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard on the new Maverick, but all-wheel drive is optional, making the truck a capable performer over off-road terrain and on paved streets around town.
Ford also offers the 2024 Maverick with a 2.5-liter Hybrid engine. This configuration produces 191 horsepower with 155 pound-feet of torque. These models trade the standard automatic transmission for a modern continuously variable transmission. The hybrid trucks are both efficient and powerful performers.
